Michelle PhilipMichelle grew up in Zimbabwe and immigrated to the United States at the age of 12. By age 15 she knew she wanted to be an artist, but after seeing the type of art being taught at universities, Michelle's parents discouraged her from pursuing an art degree. Instead she went into Law, and is a member of the Colorado Bar. After law school, Michelle began to paint and draw full time. She has studied with artists like Michael Fuchs, Thomas Buechner and Frank Covino, among others. She continued her classical studies in Colorado with Elvie Davis and with noted illustrator Jaques Devaud. Courses M. Philip teaches:
