1 pastel set of at least 24 colors (more is better, if possible) - Pat recommends Rembrandt, Winsor and Newton, Rowney, Sennelier, or Unison.

 

At least a couple of pastel pencils: something close to white, to black, and maybe a gray.

 

A few single-edge razor blades.

 

Blending stumps or tortillions.

 

Drawing board.

 

Pastel paper - Pat recommends (La Carte, Wallis, Art Spectrum), but anything with at least some texture will be fine.

 

Paper towels or rags.
