Note:

Most Community Classes are limited to 8 Students. Registration & Payment will reserve your spot in class and is on a first come, first serve basis.

 

Mold Making & Casting

CAA's Beginning Mold Making & Casting Workshop provides a start-to-finish hands-on learning experience in creating rubber molds and pouring sculptural casts.  A variety of approaches for creating permanent sculptures will be discussed and students will create a reusable mold and a plaster cast from one of their own pre-existing clay sculptures.

Techniques for finishing and coloring or painting casts will be described and additional discussion or demonstrations may include other casting materials, costs and benefits of materials as well as casting wax for bronze foundries.
