Most Community Classes are limited to 8 Students. Registration & Payment will reserve your spot in class and is on a first come, first serve basis.

 

 

Masters Portrait Series


In this series, students will learn how to convey mass and line and how to determine correct proportions and measurements with a live portrait model.

The use of light and shadow to creating three dimensional effects and how to create a center of interest will also be explored.

The Masters portrait painting concepts and techniques will include

- Lighting & Posing the subject

- Points to look for when getting a likeness

- Gender differences in the portrait.

- Anatomy of the face (the muscles will be painted by the instructor on the model face).

- How bone structure influences skin tone and color.

 The model will be sitting in the same pose for two consecutive weeks.
