Sculpting the Female Figure w/ Paul Lucchesi Aug 27 - 31 10a - 5p $550 + Materials This 5-day Workshop will emphasize the individuality and expression of sculpture with the Human Figure as the central theme. Paul will discuss different approaches and demonstrate techniques and structure throughout the week, helping students to gain more technical skills. Topics and skills covered will include anatomy, form and gesture. About the Instructor: Paul Lucchesi has taught Sculpting at the New School, Parson School of Design and the Educational Alliance since 1984. Lucchesi also teaches in Pietrasanta, Italy, a city with an established history as a marble and bronze sculpture location. Lucchesi's work has been exhibited in the Bridgewater-Lustberg Gallery, NYC and many international galleries. He is the recipient of the Lindsay Morris Memorial Prize for the National Sculpture Society and the Henry Ward Ranger Fund Purchase Prize from the National Academy of Art and Design. |
