Note:

Most Community Classes are limited to 8 Students. Registration & Payment will reserve your spot in class and is on a first come, first serve basis.

 

Classical Cast Drawing & Painting


 CAA's Cast Drawing & Painting classes teach students to work from classical sculptures, training the eye to perceive shapes, values, and proportion. Using the sight-size method, a plaster cast of a classical sculpture is reproduced in charcoal or oil.

Exact measurements as well as matching exact shapes, values, and edges are emphasized. Instruction is given in the Atelier Studio  tradition with the goal being a finished drawing or painting.

Beginner to Advanced level
