Alla Prima Portrait & Figure Painting

In this series, students will learn how to paint a portrait or Figure directly from a model in one painting session. The goal of this type of painting is to keep freshness and life in the image by working with wet paint into wet paint.

Although precision is a necessary part of painting any portrait/figure, students will learn to work without elaborate preparatory
sketches, underpainting or glazing. Students will better understand how to mix flesh colors and how to paint the features in a simple and direct manner.
