The Academy is committed to the development of the student and the pursuit of excellence in drawing, painting and sculpture. With an appreciation to the dedication and commitment to the rigors of becoming an artist, the School's demanding Foundation Program develops the student's personal vision thorough a number of established classical approaches. Methods range from the Atelier Studio Tradition and Sight-Size approach to thorough examination of classical painting and brush techniques, charcoal drawing and traditional sculpture. The Academy Community Classes offer the amateur artist a rich range of instruction in both classical and contemporary techniques providing students with the skills necessary to increase their enjoyment and proficiency as artists. Whether passionate amateur or emerging professional artist, students will find the natural beauty of Boulder Colorado, the highly accomplished instructors and the Academy’s friendly, nurturing and collaborative environment provides them with an extra ordinary opportunity to advance their skills.
